NORWALK, Conn. —Aire Ivey Worthy, a longtime resident of Norwalk, died Oct. 2. She was 85.
Worthy was born June 13, 1930, in Culloden, Ga., to Jim and Ginny Bentley Ivey.
She was employed with Waveny Care Center until her retirement.
Worthy was predeceased by her parents, husband John, son Gregory and siblings Robert Ivey, Marvin Ivey, Mattie B. Colbert and Eddie Mae Walker.
She is survived by her daughter Juanita, grandson Eric and his partner Calista Burage, two great-grandchildren, 24 nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, followed by a service of remembrance at Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford.
Interment will be private.
