Ada M. DeBoer, 100, Of Norwalk, Former Norwalk Chamber Of Commerce Employee

NORWALK, Conn. - Ada M. DeBoer of Norwalk, died peacefully at Notre Dame Convalescent Home on Tuesday, April 30. She was 100.

DeBoer was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Norwalk, daughter of Charles and Jennie (Wilson ) Utzinger. Formerly employed with the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church and Sewing Circle.

DeBoer is survived by her sons, Andrew DeBoer III (Gail) of Cheshire, David DeBoer (Jolene) of Norwalk; daughter, Barbara Welte (Mark) of Richland Center, Wis.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Andrew DeBoer, Jr.; brother, Charles Utzinger; and sister, Mildred Bouton.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 2  from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at the East Avenue United Methodist Church, 244 East Ave.,  with Pastor Eric Fjeldal officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
