Wilton Police Issue Traffic Advisory For Norwalk River Valley Trail 5k

WILTON, Conn. -- Drivers will want to avoid the Wilton Center area on Sunday, May 1, during the annual running of the Norwalk River Valley Trail May Day Run 5k road race, police said.

It's part of the Wilton Go Green Festival.

The road race will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Wilton Center. Runners will cross over Ridgefield Road, then head down into the trails accessible in Merwin Meadows. The road race will also cross over School Road in the area of Kristine Lilly Way before turning around and heading back to the Wilton Center via Merwin Meadows. 

Drivers should expect delays as well as road closures and detours while the race is in progress. The race is expected to finish by 11:30 a.m.
