Monday, July 2
Mostly Mother Goose Story Time: 10 a.m. The story time will include mostly Mother Goose rhymes, some classic and modern tales, songs, fingerplays and movement activities. South Norwalk Library Branch, 10 Washington St.
Timeless Tales: 11 a.m. Join this ongoing, weekly story time for children ages 3 to 5, full of classic, contemporary and interactive stories, music, fingerplays and movement. South Norwalk Library Branch, 10 Washington St.
Stories and Pictures From Inside the Grand Canyon: 7 p.m. Western writer Rick Kempa will present a slideshow and stories from his hiking journeys inside the Grand Canyon. Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave.
Planning Committee Special Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Planning Committee of the Common Council will hold a special meeting. Room A330, Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Ave.
Tuesday, July 3
Summer Concert and Fireworks: 5:30 p.m. The Amazing Andy will perform for kids, followed by performances by DJ Nuzzo and Billy Genuario and the Destiny Band. Fireworks will go off at dusk. Calf Pasture Beach.
Land Use and Building Management Committee: 5:30 p.m. The Land Use and Building Management Committee of the Common Council will hold a special meeting. Room 231, Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Ave.
Wednesday, July 4
Norwalk Historical Society Independence Day Celebration: Noon to 3 p.m. This celebration of our country’s history will include tours of historical areas in Norwalk, presentations on the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and more. Thursday, July 5
Norwalk Transit District Commissioners Meeting: 9 a.m. The Norwalk Transit District Commissioners will meet. Norwalk Transit District, 275 Wilson Ave.
