What's Happening in Norwalk This Weekend

NORWALK, Conn. – From the last shows of "West Side Story" to dodgeball and mattress events, it’s a weekend of plays and fundraisers in Norwalk. Here is what’s happening the weekend of March 29 to April 1:

Friday

• Norwalk High School Dodgeball: 6 to 9 p.m. – It’s the high school's second annual fundraiser with all proceeds going to Education and Hope, a charity founded by Norwalk High School alumnus Julie Coyne.

• "West Side Story:" 8 to 10:30 p.m. – The Brien McMahon High School Drama Club takes on one of the most famous shows on Broadway as its spring musical.

Saturday

• All About Me! A Day for Girls' Health: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Norwalk Church is asking middle and high school girls and their parents come together to share a better understanding of themselves, hear the message of positive youth development, find available community resources and effective prevention approaches through mini educational workshops.

• Common Council Conversation: 1 to 2 p.m. – The Norwalk Common Council asks the public to come to the South Norwalk Library to engage in a conversation between the city and residents.

• "West Side Story:" 2 and 8 p.m. – The Brien McMahon High School Drama Club takes on one of the most famous shows on Broadway as its spring musical. Two shows are scheduled.

Sunday

• Mattress Fundraiser: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – A fundraiser for Norwalk High School's football and baseball players where up to 60 percent off mattresses at this fundraiser at the American Legion Hall.
