NORWALK, Conn. If you want the opportunity to speak out about education reform, Gov. Dannel Malloy is coming to Norwalk. Here is whats happening in Norwalk the week of April 9 to 12:
Norwalk Main Library 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Get general job search assistance with the Connecticut Works Career Coach.
Winston Preparatory School 6 to 8 p.m.: The school is hosting a financial planning and legal workshop for special needs parents and the community at large with Stephen Ehrens, CPA and financial adviser with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, and Attorney James Funnell Jr., principal, Hermenze and Marcantonio LLC .
Norwalk SoNo Library 6:30 to 8 p.m.: The South Norwalk Branch Librarys Go to Work! 2012 series is designed to aid those who are preparing to market themselves for the workforce or for entrepreneurial pursuits. The series is free and open to the public, although registration is required.
Norwalk City Hall - 8 to 10 p.m.: The Common Council is meeting for its regular meeting at the Council Chambers in City Hall.
West Rocks Middle School - 6:15 p.m.: Gov. Dannel Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman will be at the Norwalk school to discuss education with residents as a part of Malloys Education Reform Tour.
Norwalk City Hall - 3:30 to 5 p.m.: The Public Safety Commission is having its regular meeting at City Hall in Room 231.
NEON Inc . 7 to 9 p.m.: The NEON Board of Directors will holds its regular meeting in its offices at 98 S. Main St.
Norwalk Main Library - 7 to 8:30 p.m.: The Norwalk Public Library System's Board of Trustees holds its monthly meeting in the conference room of the main library.
Norwalk SoNo Library - 10 to 11 a.m.: Children will watch a short film based on picture book and then create their own work of art based on the film. This week is Cornelius. Children will use their imaginations to create their own type of animal.
