W. Craig Rowe, Norwalk Resident, 66

NORWALK, Conn. -- W. Craig Rowe, a resident of Norwalk and a partner in Tramontano and Rowe Landscape Architects, died Saturday, Dec. 27, following a long illness.

He was the son of the late Orville (Bill) and Regina Rowe and was born in Cambridge, N.Y., on March 18, 1948. Rowe grew up in the Greenwich area and graduated with honors from Greenwich Central High School in 1966. He attended Syracuse University and graduated in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture. He married Denise Dubois in 1972.

After working for landscape architecture firms in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Burlington, Vt., and Mamaroneck, N.Y., he moved to Norwalk in 1978 and entered into a partnership with Robert Tramontano with offices on East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich.

Rowe is survived by his three sons, Scott, a science teacher and coach in Gulf Shores, Ala.; Sean, an architect in New York City; and Chase, a computer analyst in Boston. He is also survived by an older brother, Allan, and wife Nancy, of Fairhope, Ala., and a niece and three nephews.

A memorial visitation has been scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 3, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to any Christian charity.
