Power Outages Dropping in Fairfield County

Update, 3:20 p.m. FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -The lights are coming back on in Fairfield County homes that lost power during Tuesday night's thunderstorm. Here is a list of outages in the region, according to power provides CL&P and United Illuminating: 

Danbury: 29 

Darien: 25 

Easton: 4

Fairfield: 5

Greenwich: 893

New Canaan: 232 

Norwalk: 271 

Redding: 244

Ridgefield: 228

Stamford: 143

Weston: 343  

Westport:  283 

Wilton: 430 

Update, 10:55 a.m. - Power outage numbers were holding steady Wednesday morning as thousands in Fairfield County remain in the dark. Here is a list of outages in surrounding towns:

The United Illuminated Company, which provides power in Fairfield and Easton, expects to have all power restored by 6 p.m.

The forecast for Wednesday is cloudy in the morning, but clearing in the afternoon, with a high near 71, the National Weather Service says. Thursday and Friday should be sunny, with highs around 70.
