Summer's Over, Norwalk Reader Laments

NORWALK, Conn. – The first day back to work post Labor Day did not go well for Fairfield County motorists. With steady rain falling, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported delays just beyond Exit 16 of Interstate 95 south at 3:45 p.m. DOT announced the mess was cleared just before 5 p.m., but reader Van Collins got caught in the rainy traffic jam before that. "Summer's over," he said.

It's likely the rain will continue at least through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The chance of rain Wednesday night is 70 percent and 60 percent Thursday. But things are looking up with a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday night.
