More than 60 organizations applied for this opportunity. Inspirica has received the signature Impact Grant; SoundWaters was a fellow runner-up.

The $30,000 grant of flexible funding Neighbors Link has received will allow it to invest in the services it provides to the immigrant community. This includes programs like the Home Health Aide Initiative, for which it just completed a pre-pilot program with five students.

Once launched, Neighbors Link's Skills Development Program, Home Health Aide Initiative will provide culturally tailored training for immigrants seeking employment in the field of home health care.

Students in the pre-pilot program of the Home Health Aide Initiative successfully completed their course this week.

Beginning this fall, it will partner with Norwalk Community College to launch the program and offer classes at Neighbor Link's Center that provide a pathway to credentials in Health Care.

The mission of Neighbors Link is to strengthen the whole community by actively enhancing the healthy integration of immigrants.

Impact Fairfield County's mission is to unite women in its community with the common purpose of providing large, transformational grants to local nonprofits. Its goal is to reach the underserved and unmet needs in its area, as well as support deserving but lesser known initiatives that change the lives of those around them.

Members of Impact include: Vicki Craver, Impact Co-Founder; Anka Badurina, NLS Skills Development Director; Catalina Horak, NLS Executive Director; and Wendy Block, Impact Co-Founder.
