STAMFORD, Conn. – Individuals looking to learn to code, leverage digital marketing techniques, understand entrepreneurship or boost their career prospects will have more than 35 classes to choose from at the Stamford Innovation Center this fall.
Attendees to a Sept. 9 open house will have an opportunity to meet instructors, fellow students and receive a 10 percent discount on all current prices.
In its four season of classes, the Innovation Center’s Innovation Ed program continues to focus on classes and courses that allow a student to learn specific skill or set of skills with instruction from experienced, current practitioners.
The complete class list is attached as PDF. To learn more about the classes and to register, visit the Innovation Center website .
The classes will take place at the Center’s 175 Atlantic St. headquarters in the center of downtown.
“This is our most ambitious offering since we started our Innovation Ed program,” said Managing Partner and Founder Barry Schwimmer. “We’ve learned that there is a critical need for the types of focused, skill-centric classes we offer. Traditional universities are great but there is a new category of learners who want something different, at a market-sensitive price point.”
The classes are for beginners and those with experience. There are four focus areas for the Innovation Ed.’s fall programming:
• Coding – Basic, Advanced, Enterprise
“The classes are taught by Connecticut and Westchester-based working professionals,” said Peter Propp, chief marketing officer at SIC. “We’re delighted to have found such a great and diverse group of practitioners who have decided to share their expertise with our community. Whether you are a freelancer, coder, consultant, startup founder, or work at a Fortune 500 company, there is a class for you at SIC this fall.”
Since opening its doors in 2012, SIC has drawn more than 11,000 visits into the former Old Town Hall.
