Snow Expected To Arrive By Tuesday Afternoon In Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Tuesday will start with sunny skies in Fairfield County, but clouds will begin to roll in during the afternoon, bringing rain during the day and snow in the evening, the National Weather Service says.

The rain is expected to start after 3 p.m. Tuesday with a high temperature of about 42 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. 

But the rain will begin to change over to snow in the late afternoon as temperatures dip to the freezing mark. Less than one inch of snow accumulation is expected. 

Sun and slightly warmer temperatures will return on Thursday with a high of about 47 degrees. 

Showers will return Thursday night and linger on Friday with a high of about 62 degrees.
