According to Planet Save, the Moon will reach its closest distance to the Earth at exactly 7:32am Eastern Daylight Time and will be visible after sunset. This year's Super Moon will be up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than a typical Full Moon. Called a "perigee full moon" by astronomers, the June 23 full moon will look larger than it does in other months.
