Rilling Announces Money-Saving Prescription Card For Norwalk Residents

NORWALK, CONN. – Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling announced that ProAct Prescription Discount Cards would be arriving in Norwalk households through this week.

The municipal program is done in partnership with the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), aimed at helping residents get discounts on the cost of prescription drugs.

The card is free, and is of no cost to local taxpayers.

Savings are calculated by local pharmacies, and the card is intended for uninsured residents and to cover elements of a prescription that other insurance don't cover.

Local pharmacies participating include CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Stop & Shop, Big Y, and Wal-Mart.

Anyone without a card can get one by visiting City Hall or the Norwalk Public Library.
