Norwalk's Courage To Speak Foundation Receives $5,000 Grant

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Courage to Speak® Foundation recently announced the receipt of a $5,000 grant from the First County Bank Foundation Inc.

This grant will aid in the Courage to Speak® Foundations mission of saving lives by empowering youth to be drug free and encouraging parents to communicate effectively with their children about drugs by supporting Courage to Speak - Courageous Parenting 101®, a course designed for parents to keep their children safe.

The foundation contributes to nonprofit organizations that support community and economic development, or support the children and families of lower Fairfield County, according to a press release. More than $600,000 in grants will be awarded in 2015. The foundations total grants since 2001 will exceed $7 million by the end of this year.
