NORWALK, Conn. A Norwalk man who was bleeding from his hands accused his wife of stabbing him early Tuesday. He told Norwalk Police he had put up his hands to defend himself.
Claudia Quinones, 34, of 30 Tierney St. was charged with assault second degree. Quinones said that she had not meant to stab her huband, according to Sgt. Lisa Cotto. They had been arguing and he grabbed the knife, police said.
The husband said they had argued and his wife left the room. He told police she went into kitchen, grabbed the knife and came back at him with it.
He was holding paper towels on his hands when police arrived to investigate the 12:17 a.m. 911 call. He refused medical attention but took himself to the hospital later.

? An armed robbery was reported Monday at the Alex Food Mart, located at 26 Broad St. Police were told that a man entered the store at about 7 p.m., showed a gun and demanded money. The robber's face was covered and the clerk could not describe him, Cotto said.
? A man who was released from police custody Tuesday on domestic charges was arrested a few hours later when he returned to his home and banged on the door in an attempt to get inside, Cotto said. Police found Robert White, 55, of 26 Blake St. in his driveway. He was charged with breach of peace second degree and violation of the conditions of release. Bond was $25,000.
