NORWALK, Conn. More than 9,000 Norwalk voters had gone to the polls by 4 p.m. Tuesday - that's 21.79 percent of the electorate, according to Democratic registrar Stuart Wells.
Voter turnout was lowest in District B, where 15.74 percent had voted in B1 at Columbus Elementary School and 16.18 percent had voted in B2 at the Nathaniel Ely School. Turnout was highest in District A4, where 33.06 percent had voted at Nathan Hale Middle School as of 4 p.m. Turnout was also high at Rowayton Elementary School, where 29.75 percent of District E2's voters had cast ballots.
Democrats Carvin Hillard and Michael Geake are running for Common Council in District B, unopposed by Republicans.
