NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Transit District, which suspended bus service Sunday evening in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy, will resume a full public bus schedule Wednesday, according to District Administrator Louis Shulman.
Both fixed route and door-to-door service will be in operation, Shulman said Tuesday afternoon, but there may be some rerouting on streets with downed trees.
“The only exceptions will be that rail shuttles will not operate if trains are not running,” Shulman said.
The Norwalk Transit District provides extensive bus services to Norwalk and Westport, and also operates some services to Fairfield, Bridgeport, Milford, Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield and Danbury.
