Norwalk Transfer Station To Accept Appliances With Freon

NORWALK, Conn. -- Starting on April 1, the Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent St, will begin accepting freon-containing appliances, the city of Norwalk announced.

Freon-containing appliances that will be accepted include: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.  

The disposal fee is $10 per appliance and residents will only be allowed to dispose of three appliances per day.

Residents must have their Resident/Beach Pass for passenger cars and their Resident Pass for pickups, trucks and vans to use the transfer station.
