No, it wasn't black gold just water bubbling up on Isaac Street. Norwalk police were called to the intersection of Isaac and Wall streets at about 1 p.m. Friday because a water main broke. At 3:30 p.m., they were still there, and an officer joked with a passerby that he had struck oil. "No, just water," he said.
Isaac Street was closed through Friday afternoon because of the ongoing problem.
