original story: NORWALK, Conn. -- Heavy traffic was reported midday Tuesday on West Avenue near Reed Street in South Norwalk due to a spill on the roadway, Norwalk police said.
Motorists should avoid the area, police said.
Oil spilled from a truck, making for a hazardous condition, police said.
The Norwalk Fire Department has responded with brooms and absorbent to clean up the area.
The spill is near the entrance and exit ramps to I-95 and Route 7 in Norwalk.
