NORWALK, Conn. A Norwalk Police cruiser collided with another vehicle late Thursday afternoon on East Avenue. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage. There was no information on any injuries to either driver.
The accident happened at about 4:20 p.m. at East Avenue and Raymond Street, the corner with the Rite Aid. The patrol car appeared to have been heading onto East Avenue from St. John Street.
Traffic in the area crept along for about 40 minutes as police waited for wreckers.
