Norwalk Placed Under Flood Advisory

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A line of heavy rain showers with isolated thunderstorms will push into Fairfield County on Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service said. The area was placed under a flood advisory, it said on its website. 

Heavy rain with amount of a quarter to a half an inch of rain could fall in a short amount of time, the weather service said. Ponding in roadways and isolated flooding in low-lying area is possible, it said. 

Do not drive into area where water covers the roadway, the weather service advised.
