NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Parking Authority is going mobile this week.
The group recently announced its new mobile website "to better assist people with finding Norwalk parking information," according to a press release. The site is "automatically accessible from any web-enabled phone or smartphone, the site has all the key features of the regular website that customers need, including wayfinding via geo-location based information about the parking facilities in Norwalk, MTA train schedules, the ability to purchase a permit for train station or lot parking – even paying a parking ticket," according to the release.
“Having an all-access website makes the Parking Authority’s site an even more valuable tool so that the community, businesses and visitors to Norwalk are better informed about where and how to park,” said Parking Authority executive director Kathryn Hebert in the press release. “Now they can connect to all of our information while on the go so that their Norwalk parking experience is easy, convenient and seamless.”
Marketing firm Snyder Group helped work with the Parking Authority team to develop the site, according to the release.
"A mobile website is really a natural for the Parking Authority,” said Snyder Group president David Snyder, according to the release. “Mobile customers really reap the benefits of parking information that’s accessible, straightforward and user-friendly.”
