NORWALK, Conn. A man who police say was running naked and punching vehicles on East Avenue was arrested Friday night, two days shy of his 30th birthday. Johnie Glee of 37 Van Zant St. was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespass. Bond was set at $1,500.
Witnesses told police they had seen a clothed Glee get out of a white van and start punching it on East Avenue near Van Zant Street at about 10:50 p.m. He jumped on the hood and broke the windshield. The van left, and witnesses did not get the license plate. Glee then allegedly went to a gas station and stripped, and they said he was enraged, running, screaming and yelling. He jumped on the hood of at least one other vehicle and was yelling at its driver for unknown reasons. He damaged the hood.
When paramedics arrived, Glee said he was fine and wanted to go home, according to police. He said he had been out with a friend, they had gotten into a verbal argument and he had decided to leave, according to Sgt. James Walsh.
Glee ran from the first police officer who arrived and into the gas station. A second officer followed him into the station and drew his Taser. Glee stretched out on the floor and was handcuffed. He was carried to the police vehicle. Police say Glee's eyes were pinpoint, he seemed confused and was bleeding from his forearms. They think he was on PCP.
