The project aims to raise $25,000 for two new grass infields, sprinkler systems and permanent fencing at the facility.

Norwalk Little League began in 1951, but currently is unable to host summer all-star district games without a signature playing field.

Even without any home games, its 10-year-old all-stars won the District 1 Championship for the first time in Norwalk Little League's history in 2014 and the 12-year-old all-stars won for the first time since 1986.
