Norwalk Father-Son Argument Ends in Arrest

NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly pouring water on his father. Arthur Dancy, 33, of 28 Martin Luther King Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $5,000.

Police were summoned to 20 West Ave. at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday by a 68-year-old man who said he wanted his son and grandson out of his apartment because they were lazy. Police say that while they were there Dancy went into his bedroom to get his belongings and came out carrying a gallon jug of water. His father protested. Dancy started pouring water on the older man. Police told him to stop and he replied with an obscenity and "I wish it was hot water," Sgt. Lisa Cotto said.

"His demeanor at the scene warranted charging him," she said.
