NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now Incorporated has announced two new members to its board of directors, LaTanya Langley and Nick Tarzia.
LaTanya Langley, director and senior Counsel at Diageo North America, was appointed by State Representative Bruce Morris to the NEON Board and will help with rebuilding and revitalizing NEON for the vulnerable communities that it serves.
Also joining the NEON Board is Nick Tarzia, Stamford businessman and the owner of Stamford Toys, who looks forward to becoming a positive part of moving the organization forward.
“I believe that Ms. Langley and Mr. Tarzia will bring a positive energy and a new vitality to NEON. Going forward I will be focused on bringing other like-minded team players to the NEON organization,” Michael Berkoff board of directors chairperson, said in a statement. “It is my intention to seek and bring positive, talented team players to NEON who can and will earn the respect of the eight communities that we serve.”
In addition, NEON announced it looks to organize a new fund-raising campaign and renew its relationship and commitment to the eight communities its serves.
NEON is a community-based organization aiding vulnerable families in lower Fairfield County with services and programs in early childhood development, adult and youth employment and training, neighborhood community centers, after-school activities, and family services.
