Norwalk Delays Some Garbage Pickups Due To Thanksgiving Holiday

NORWALK, Conn. -- Don't bother dragging those trash cans to the curb on Wednesday night. There will be no garbage or recycling collection services on Thanksgiving Day by the City of Norwalk. 

There will be no garage or recycling service on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Service will resume on Friday.

Garbage and recycling will be collected as normal Monday through Wednesday. But Thursday routes will be collected on Friday Nov. 27, and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 28. 

The Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent St., and the Yard Debris Site, located at 15 S. Smith St., will also be closed on Thanksgiving. Both will reopen for regular hours on Friday, Nov. 27.
