A man attacked his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend Tuesday night and went out of his way more than a dozen feet up to do it, according to Norwalk police. Christian Hurtado, 20, of Belle Avenue in Norwalk allegedly climbed up onto the roof of her second-floor apartment on Ely Avenue and entered her bedroom window around 11:14 p.m. The woman and her boyfriend were asleep, and Hurtado started punching the man, police say.
The victim fought Hurtado off, and Hurtado left before police arrived. But he turned himself in at about midnight at police headquarters. Hurtado was charged with assault, burglary and injury, risk of impairing morals. Bond was set at $5,000.
