NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now and the City of Norwalk will both host Halloween parties for children Wednesday evening.
NEON's party starts at 5 p.m. at its headquarters, 98 South Main St., according to Norwalk Police Sgt. Lisa Cotto.
The city's party will take place in the Community Room at City Hall, 125 East Ave., from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Norwalk officials decided Tuesday not to cancel Halloween, but they ask parents to use caution when they let their children trick or treat.
“Please be careful,” Cotto said, adding that people should be sure to use flashlights. “But when in doubt, stay in.”
Police advised trick or treaters to avoid the portions of Willow and Williams streets and George Avenue where there are downed trees.
