Nighttime Road Work To Begin On I-95 Near Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A nighttime milling and resurfacing project will begin Tuesday on I-95 southbound in Darien and Stamford, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced.

The project will consist of milling and resurfacing a 1.88-mile segment of I-95 southbound between Exit 10 for Noroton Avenue in Darien and the beginning of the Lockwood Avenue Overpass in Stamford. 

The project is scheduled to occur the evening of Tuesday, May 28, to the morning of Saturday, June 22.

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-95 southbound between Exit 11 and Exit 7. Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for Monday to Thursday evenings and from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for Friday evenings.

The scheduled could be changed or extended due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
