Nighttime Milling Work Set For Merritt Parkway In Norwalk, Westport

WESTPORT/NORWALK, Conn. -- Nighttime spot milling will be performed along the Merritt Parkway northbound and southbound in Norwalk and Westport beginning Monday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced.

The work consists of spot milling bumps on a 3.20-mile segment of Route 15. This project is scheduled to occur on the evening of Monday, Aug. 5, to Friday morning, Aug. 9.

Motorists can expect alternating lane closures to occur on the Merritt northbound and southbound between Exit 40A for State Route 719/Main Avenue and Exit 41 for Route 33/Wilton Road in Norwalk and Westport. Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The scheduled may be modified or extended due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
