A new parking pay station for the Parking Authority’s Maritime Garage has been set up adjacent to the Aquarium Gift Shop

Until now, park visitors had to pay at stations inside the lobby or at the exit gates before leaving the garage.

“We are pleased to offer this added amenity to our visitors,” said Aquarium President and CEO Brian Davis. “I know what it’s like when you’re pulling the family together to leave. Now our patrons can pay for their parking right inside the Aquarium. They will no longer have to walk back up to the garage lobby or fumble with credit cards while trying to keep tabs on their children.”

While the garage is called the “Maritime Garage,” the multi-level parking facility right next door to the Aquarium, is owned by the City of Norwalk.

“We continue to add new enhancements to make parking in Norwalk more convenient for our customers, including visitors to The Maritime Aquarium,” said Parking Authority Chairman Julius Hayward. “We offer real-time space availability information on our web site or through our Parker app, and you can pay for parking in more ways than ever, including paying for metered parking with your smart phone through the ParkMobile app. Our new pay station inside the Aquarium is just an extension of this philosophy.”

The new pay station accepts credit cards only and can only be used to pay for Maritime Garage parking and not meters or the lot outside the IMAX Theater.
