Starting in October, there will be trains every 30 minutes from New Haven and from Stamford to Grand Central. Eight trains will be added on Saturdays and 20 on Sundays to handle an increase in passengers during the holiday season.

In April of 2013, eight more trains will run from Grand Central to Stamford when more riders are headed out of the city.

Metro-North also announced increased service on the Hudson and Harlem lines.

“Metro-North is projecting record ridership of over 85 million rail rides in 2012, its highest ever,” Metro-North President Howard Permut said on the agency's website. “We are gratified to be able to add service where it’s most needed – on weekends and in the off-peak periods.

Question is, how many more will be stopping at the East and South Norwalk Railroad Stations.

mzalaznick:

Bruce,
Metro-North did not give specifics about Norwalk. I assume any New Haven train will go through East & Sou Norwalk
