Sharon Rivera-Lopez, 25, was arrested Sunday for allegedly telling police that the father of her two children was driving drunk with the children in the car.
The call came in at 10:09 a.m. Sunday. Lopez provided gave police the mans name, and they obtained his cell phone number and arranged to meet him.
The 35-year-old man said he didn't know what police were talking about. He said there were no children in the car and he hadn't been drinking. The Department of Children and Families had no cases on file on the family.
Police said Lopez called because she wanted leverage in her attempt to get custody of their children, ages 9 and 10. She arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident.
