Metro-North Restores Limited, Hourly Service From Stamford To Grand Central

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Metro-North will provide extremely limited service Wednesday morning on the New Haven Line between Stamford and Grand Central Terminal using diesel locomotives due to a Con Edison power problem, the railroad announced on its website.

Hourly westbound service will be provided from Stamford, making all local stops to Grand Central Terminal beginning at 9 a.m.

Hourly eastbound service will be provided from Grand Central Terminal, making all local stops to Stamford starting at 9:10 a.m. 

Customers should expect crowded trains and platforms.  New Haven Line tickets continue to be cross honored on the Harlem Line.

Riders are advised to listen for announcements at stations and to expect significant delays.
