Marion L. Toone, 96, died Friday at Bethel Healthcare. The longtime Norwalk resident helped her late husband, William A. Toone, at the Norwalk Postal Employees Federal Credit Union. She was born in Fall River, Mass., was a graduate of the Merrill Business School and worked for several years for Michael's Jewelry Store.
Toone loved to travel to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, loved animals and enjoyed reading and crosswords. She was also an avid Mets fan.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet E. Peck of Bethel; and a grandson, and several nieces and nephews. They will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
