Man Uses Note to Rob Norwalk Bank

NORWALK, Conn. — A man who passed a "threatening" note to a teller robbed the TD Bank at 184 Main St. in Norwalk Friday morning, Norwalk Police Lt. Timothy Murphy said.

The robber came into the bank at 10:58 a.m. and handed the teller a note that implied she would get hurt. The teller gave the man money, which he put in his own bag. He then left the bank and fled up Ohio Avenue, police said.

No one reported seeing a gun and police did not say how much money the man took.

Police have cordoned off the area and are searching for the man. A dye-pack used to identify robbers that was placed in the bag with money may have gone off in a nearby parking lot, police said.
