Man Arrested in Norwalk Homicide

NORWALK, Conn. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with last week's Norwalk homicide, Norwalk police said.

Pernell McBride, 49, was arrested in Manhattan by the U.S. Marshals Service and charged with murder, police said. Norwalk detectives worked with the U.S. Marshals to track him down. McBride's last known address was 93 Suncrest Road in Norwalk, Lt. Praveen John said.

McBride will be extradited from New York to face prosecution in the death of John "Debo" Alston, who died May 23 shortly after being shot in the stomach while arguing with at least one person at 119 S. Main St.

Police made the arrest after a flood of tips from the community, sources said.
