NORWALK, Conn. The victim of a July stabbing was uncooperative with Norwalk Police, but they say they have arrested the assailant. Earl Sellers, 39, of 18 Lexington Ave. was charged with assault first degree. Sellers is being held the Bridgeport Correctional Center on another charge.
The 42-year-old victim suffered a deep laceration to his upper back in the July 23 assault, Sgt. Lisa Cotto said. He was attacked on Martin Luther King Drive near UPS, and said he had been followed on foot from the area of the South Norwalk train station. He said his assailant did not try to rob him.
Police say the victim knows Sellers. Cotto described it as an "ongoing altercation."
The victim was taken to Norwalk Hospital by someone who saw him bleeding. The driver said he hadn't seen the incident.
