Norwalk's Emma Kirwan completed her climb to the 19,334-foot peak of Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador last week. Kirwan, 26, made the ascent to raise money for her non-profit organization, Peaks Over Poverty, which promotes healthy living and conservation. Funds raised by Emma's non-profit go to benefit mountain villagers who live at high altitude and helps them adjust to climate change. She made the trip with Matt O'Connell, a high school friend from Wilton, and a tour guide. For more pictures and video from the climb, log on to the Peaks Over Poverty Facebook page or on her blog .
