Ivanka Trump Used Private Email To Talk With Greenwich's Linda McMahon

GREENWICH, Conn. — First Daughter Ivanka Trump, who used a private email account to do government business, sent some of those emails to Linda McMahon of Greenwich, the head of the Small Business Administration, according to Newsweek.

Some of the emails were posted at the website for American Oversight, a government watchdog group.

The documents show that on Feb. 28, Trump — identifying herself as Ivanka Kushner — emailed McMahon from a personal domain. At the time, Trump was operating from inside the White House in a nonofficial capacity, Newsweek said.

In the email, Trump said asks if "someone from her team" can contact McMahon to “explore opportunities to collaborate” on issues related to “women’s entrepreneurship.”

The email is cc'd to the government email addresses of two other federal employees, Dina Powell and Julie Radford, who is identified as Trump's chief of staff.

During the 2016 election, President Donald Trump and other Republicans made a central issue of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email system.

Newsweek said Trump, who became an unpaid federal employee in March, likely had access to a White House email account that she could have used.

This came on the heels of the news that her husband, Jared Kushner — a senior adviser to the president —also used a personal email address for official work.

McMahon is the former president and CEO of the Stamford-based WWE.
