NORWALK, Conn. Improvements at the intersection of Strawberry Hill Avenue and Tierney Street will be the topic of an informational meeting Sept. 14 at City Hall.
A realignment is planned for the intersection, with new crosswalks and sidewalk improvements, a new traffic signal and traffic signal interconnectivity.
The project is slated for construction under the Safe Routes to Schools program administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. Based on a preliminary assessment, the project will cost approximately $650,000. The Federal Highway Administration will provide $368,000 of the construction cost and the city will provide the remainder.
