Gun Found in Norwalk After Attempted Shooting

NORWALK, Conn. – Police found a loaded pistol but no shell casings after a  young woman said she had been shot at early Sunday in Roodner Court.

Police arrested two people who were not related to any residents, were not visiting anyone and had no business on the property. Kimani Williams, 19, of 10 Leonard St. and a 14-year-old boy were charged with criminal trespass.

Police were called to Roodner Court at 1:49 a.m. A 19-year-old woman said she had been walking up to Building 12 when a car pulled up. She saw a gun and fell to the ground, flat on her stomach. She said she was fired at four times. Witnesses confirmed the account, Sgt. Andre Velez said, and several women were "a little traumatized."

The victim provided a description of two cars, a black Nissan and maybe a silver Honda. Police did not find the cars, but found a .380 semi-automatic with seven rounds in it on a garbage can.

Williams is a convicted felon who was released from prison in March after serving a seven-month sentence for first-degree reckless endangerment and breach of peace, according to The Hour. He was also arrested in May and charged with scuffling with a police officer.

The juvenile was taken to Mead Hall Juvenile Detention Center in Bridgeport.
