There are 16,000 catch basins and storm drains in Norwalk. Because of the numerous recent storms, many of these drains are covered with snow and ice.

The temperature forecast for Saturday is in the 30s. Temperatures will climb to the 40s on Sunday and reach the high 40s by mid-week. Snow will be melting, and puddles and ponding will occur where there are blocked catch basins/storm drains.

Should residents become a “Storm Drain Superstar,” the city asks that residents not throw snow and ice back into the roadway.
