Girl Punched at Norwalk Halloween Party

NORWALK, Conn. ? An 18-year-old Westport girl told police she was punched in the face and spit on by her former boyfriend at a Halloween party in Norwalk Saturday night. Norwalk Police said the girl told them the boy also smacked her on her buttocks and pushed her down.

The ex-boyfriend, Douglas Horne, 19, of 89 Dry Hill Road, Norwalk, came to police headquarters on Sunday and was given a summons for breach of peace second degree.

The girl said she has avoided Horne since they broke up but that he was at the party and was intoxicated, according to Sgt. Lisa Cotto. She told police that Horne harassed her and that when a friend tried to take her home she had to walk past Horne, who spit on her and punched her.

The back of her hands were scraped from the fall when she came to police headquarters Sunday to tell the story, Cotto said. She had a text message from Horne saying: "I am glad I punched you."
