First Time Homeowners In Norwalk May Be Eligible For Downpayment Assistance

NORWALK, Conn. -- Families interested in buying a home in Norwalk may be eligible for downpayment assistance from the Connecticut Department of Housing and the Housing Development Fund (HDF).

The fund allows income-eligible first-time homebuyers to qualify for up to $25,000 in downpayment and/or closing costs. HDF is a partner of the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency.

“I encourage families to contact the Housing Development Fund to see if they are eligible for this program.’’ Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling said. “It’s a great opportunity that can make the dream of homeownership come true for you.”
