FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Around six inches of snow could be on the ground from Greenwich to Norwalk to Danbury by the time a slow-moving storm takes its wintry weather out of the region Friday afternoon.

Two to four inches could fall overnight, with another one to three inches falling through Friday afternoon, when the snow may turn to rain throughout Fairfield County. Winds will reach about 15 mph inland and 20 mph with some higher gusts along the coast, the National Weather Service says.

A flood advisory is in effect for coastal areas through 10 a.m., Friday.

Temperatures will warm up into the high 40s over the weekend and creep up in the 50s during the beginning of the week, when the next storm may bring rain to the area, the National Weather Service says.
