Fairfield County Snow Totals Reach Nearly 3 Feet

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Nemo, the heavily hyped winter storm, lived up to its billing Friday night and Saturday morning, dumping more than 3 feet of blowing, drifting snow on some areas of Connecticut, including Fairfield County.

Fairfield was the hardest-hit town in the county, with snowfall measuring 35 inches, according to unofficial figures released in a public information statement by the National Weather Service office in Upton, N.Y. That was 3 inches less than in Milford, which topped the state with 38 inches of snow, according to the statement.

Bridgeport reported 30 inches, while Weston checked in at 26.5.

Other Fairfield County totals include:

  • Westport, 24.5 inches
  • Darien, 22.1 inches
  • Norwalk, 22 inches
  • New Canaan, 22 inches
  • Danbury, 20.5 inches
  • Stamford, 19 inches
